JAMMU, July 2: Canal Road Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Canal Road Police Post led by SI Ranjeet Manhas laid a naka at Bhagwati Nagar and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 5 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Manzoor Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani of Gol Gujral District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 96/2020 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
