JAMMU, Sept 4: Belicharana police along with sleuths of District Special Branch (DSB) Jammu arrested a drug peddler along with 7 grams of heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a joint team from Belicharana Police Post and DSB Jammu laid a naka and intercepted a Maruti van.
During checking, police team recovered around 7 grams of heroin from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Adil, son of Abdul Sattar of Bikram Chowk district Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 177/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Satwari Police Station and investigation started.
The team led by Incharge Police Post Belicharana SI Ranjeet Singh Chib made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Nishant Gupta, SDPO South Ram Singh and SP South Deepak Digra.
