JAMMU, Nov 15: Pouni Chak Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 70 grams heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Pouni Chak led by PSI Nitish Khajuria and PSI Younis Khanday under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma and SDPO Domana Sunil Singh laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 70 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Shahid Ahmed, son of Mohammad Yousaf, a resident of Nowgam Tehsil Dooru District Anantnag.
A case under FIR Number 329/2021 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
