Drug peddler arrested with heroin

JAMMU, June 7: Bahu Fort Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 20 grams of heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali and assisted by PSI Adhersh Singh under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma laid a naka near Marble Market and intercepted an i20 car.
During checking, police team recovered 20 grams of heroin from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Manpreet Singh, son of Palwinder Singh of Ambika Colony Gangyal District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 156/2022 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
