JAMMU, Jan 13: Nowabad police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nowabad Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 5 grams of heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Rashpal Jamwal, a resident of Raipur Domana.
A case under FIR Number 5/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Nowabad Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Neeraj Bhagat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sheema Nabi, SP City Amritpal Singh and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
