JAMMU, Oct 4: Bishnah police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered 5 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police team recovered 5 kilograms of poppy straw from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Abdul Rashid, son of Chirag Din, a resident of Phinder, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 169/19 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
