KATRA, July 21: In continuation to the drive against drug abuse in the holy town Katra, Police today arrested a drug peddler and seized 40 gms charas from his possession.
Reports said that Police laid a special naka at Auto Stand Banganga and intercepted the accused, namely Kali Dass son of Gian Chand of village Targah, Tehsil Akhnoor, who was coming towards Banganga Track. 40 gms charas was recovered from his possession.
Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered contraband. A case FIR number 180/19 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has registered in this connection at Police Station Katra. The arrest and recovery were made by SHO Katra, Inspr Pardeep Gupta.
