KATRA, Nov 19: Police today arrested a drug peddler and seized 2.6 kg poppy straw from his possession, here today.
Acting on specific inputs, a police party led by SDPO (Probationer) G H Sheikh today conducted a raid at Jhajjar brigde late last night and intercepted one pedestrian namely Kaka Ram of Jhajjar Kotli.
During search, police recovered 2.6 kgs of poppy straw, which was being smuggled by the accused for supplying the same to Katra town.
Police arrested the accused and registered a case under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) in this connection at Police Station Katra.
