POONCH, Dec 9: Poonch Police arrested a drug peddler in Mandi area and recovered 20 grams of heroin from his possession.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a police team led by PSI Sham Lal, Incharge SHO Mandi, intercepted a suspect and recovered 20 grams of heroin like substance from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Inam Ul Haq, son of Khadam Hussain, resident of Dhundak. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are underway to uncover the source of the contraband and identify any possible links to larger drug networks.
