Srinagar, Oct 5: Police in Budgam today said to have arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered narcotic substance and cash Rs 50000 from his possession.
A police party of Police Post Humhama at a checkpoint established at Hyderpora Chowk intercepted a vehicle (Swift) bearing registration No JK01N-5811 with one person on board. He has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani resident of Batahaar Narkara.
“On checking, 04grams of narcotic substance (apparently Brown Sugar) and cash of Rs 50000 was recovered. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station. The vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized,” police said.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam.
