KATRA, Aug 8: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, Katra Police under the supervision of ASP Kulbir Singh arrested drug peddler and seized charas from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Balwan Singh alias Sonu of Thathi, Udhampur. Three pieces of charas rolls were recovered from his possession. He used to supply the charas to drug addicts in Katra and adjoining areas.
A case under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused for further investigation.
With this arrest, Police is hopeful of busting the gang as the accused is believed to be a member of the drug mafia active in the area.
