SRINAGAR, June 21: Police in Shopian today arrested a drug peddler and recovered a brown sugar-like substance from his possession.
A Special Police Team led by Incharge Police Post Reshinagri during naka checking at Adijan Reshingari intercepted a suspicious person who tried to flee but was apprehended tactfully by the alert party.
During the search, police said, officers were able to recover 8 grams of Brown Sugar-like substance from his possession.
“He has been identified as Rahul Ahmad Dar son of Late Mohd Sadiq Dar resident of Khanabal Anantnag and has been arrested and shifted to the police station where he remains in custody.”
