UDHAMPUR, Dec 12: Police arrested a drug peddler and seized 500 gms of charas, which was being smuggled by him in a Tata Sumo.
The accused, identified as Abdul Hamid of Bijbehara, Kashmir, was traveling in the vehicle as a contract passenger. He was arrested during routine checking at Jakheni Police Post.
A case under Narcotic Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
