JAMMU, Mar 20: Police arrested a drug peddler along with 8 grams heroin worth several thousands from Gali Khilone Wali, falling under the jurisdiction of Pacca Danga police station.
As per police sources, during patrolling, a team from Pacca Danga police station intercepted a person near Gali Khilone Wali.
During search, police recovered 8 grams heroin worth several thousands and arrested the drug peddler on the spot, who has been identified as Rajesh Nayar, son of Dwarka Dass, a resident of Gali Khilone Wali.
A case under FIR Number 39/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Pacca Danga police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga police station Inspector Ajay Bhat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Vivek Shekhar Sharma and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
