JAMMU, June 1: Police today arrested a drug peddler along with large number of intoxicants from Sidhra.
A police spokesman said that, a team from Sidhra police post laid a naka at Majeen Sidhra and intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 106 bottles of consumable intoxicants and 56 injections. The drug peddler was arrested, who has been identified as Awas Ahmed, son of Masoom Ali of Sidhra.
A case FIR number 154/14 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Sidhra police post and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Parveez Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary.
