JAMMU, Apr 1: RS Pura Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1 kg 400 grams of Ganja from his possession.
“During naka checking at Bagga Marh morh, a team of Police Station RS Pura led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Pawan Kumar and ASI Devi Ditta during naka duty rounded up one suspect,”a police spokesman said.
He said during search, 1.4 kg of Ganja was recovered from the accused identified as Fahim ud Din son of Raees ud Din, resident of UP (at present living at Janka Brick Kiln, RS Pura, Jammu).
“In this regard, a case under FIR Number 56/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station RS Pura and the accused arrested,” the spokesman added.
The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SP Headquarters Raminsh Gupta.
