KATHUA, Aug 17: Kathua police in a special drive against the drug menace succeeded in arresting a drug peddler with 25 grams of Chitta from his possession in a special naka at Chann Gran road, under jurisdiction of Kathua Police Station.
As per reports a special police team led by SHO, Arvind Sambyal laid down a nakka on Chann Gran road, Kathua today. The team intercepted a bike rider and after physical verification, 25 grams of Chitta was recovered from his possession. The police seized the Chitta and arrested the drug peddler identified as Rupessh Kumar, son of Kapoor Chand resident of Chack Dara Khan, Kathua. The police registered a case under NDPS Act under relevant section and started investigation into the matter.
