Drug peddler held with 3 Kg ganja-like-substance

JAMMU, Dec 16: Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu today arrested a drug peddler and seized 3 kilograms of ganja-like-substance from his possession.
Anil Kumar of Odisha at present Govindsar, Kathua, was arrested with the consignment from Jammu Tawi Railway Station by a team of GRP Jammu, a GRP official said.
According to him, the accused was accordingly booked in case FIR number 20/2024 under section 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station GRP Jammu and further investigation taken up.
Pertinently, this was the tenth seizure of banned drugs since February 2024 and the total market value of the contraband seized so far is approximately Rs 70 lakh.
