JAMMU, Nov 19: Police in RS Pura area claimed today they have arrested a drug peddler with 318 grams of ganja-like-substance.
A police official said that on November 18, 2024, a dedicated team from Police Station RS Pura under the leadership of SHO concerned, laid a naka at Agra Chak near Brick Klin, where a suspicious individual riding a motorcycle was intercepted.
Upon inquiry, he said the suspect disclosed his identity as Lakshman Prasad of Chhattisgarh at present Chhota Rangpur, tehsil RS Pura, district Jammu.
During thorough search of the suspect, the police official further said that 318 grams of Ganja-like-substance was recovered.
Accordingly, the accused was taken into custody and a case FIR number 246/2024 under Sections 8/20/60 of the NDPS was registered at Police Station RS Pura with further investigation being set into motion.
