RAMBAN, Oct 14: Ramsoo Police today arrested a drug peddler with 4 kg charas.
“During patrol duty at Sarbagni Chaka area of Ramsoo, a team of Ramsoo Police Station nabbed a suspect with a blue coloured bag after the later tried to flee on seeing the police,” a police spokesman said. He said during checking of the bag of the person identified as Mustafa Sohil son of Abdul Latief Sohil, resident of Sarbagni (tehsil Ramsoo, district Ramban), 4 kg charas like substance was recovered.
He said the accused person was arrested on spot and the recovered contraband was taken into custody. “In this connection, a case FIR number 101/ 2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation enstrusted to PSI Rinku Sharma,” the spokesman added.
The overall operation was carried out by a police party headed by Inspector Nayeem Ul Haq (SHO Police Station Ramsoo) under the supervision of Nasir Khoja (SDPO Banihal).
