JAMMU, June 20: An inter-state drug peddler was arrested with 500 grams of heroin from Miran Sahib area today, officials said.
They said the consignment worth several lakhs was recovered from a Punjab based peddler during naka checking at Kotli Mian Fateh area by a team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO concerned, Inspector Bopinder Singh, under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna.
The accused identified as Lal Hussain of Jalandhar, Punjab, has been arrested and booked in case FIR number 60/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and further investigation taken up.
