JAMMU, Apr 3: In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, Police in this district claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 70 grams of heroin from his possession.
A police spokesperson said that Arshad Mahmood @Vickey of Plera Tehsil Mandi in Rajouri District, was caught during routine checking of the vehicles at Naka Point Top Sherkhaniya.
“The accused has been booked under the relevant sections of the law and further investigation taken up,” he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Police Post Sarwal led by SDPO West Vikram Singh, assisted by SHO Bakshi Nagar, Inspector Vishal Shoor and Incharge Police Post Sarwal, PSI Baljeet Singh Parihar.
