JAMMU, July 18: A drug peddler was arrested with 92 grams of Charas from Gandhi Nagar area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Gandhi Nagar Jammu led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma assisted by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Pankaj Sharma and PSI Ranjit Singh while on naka duty at Petrol Pump Main Stop Gandhi Nagar Jammu rounded up a suspected person identified as Ashiq Hussain of Qazigund, Anantnag.
On search of the suspect, he said, 92 grams of charas was recovered.
The accused has been booked in case FIR number 179/2023 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar Jammu and further investigation taken up.
