Drug peddler held with charas

JAMMU, Nov 7: Bagh-e-Bahu Police today arrested a drug peddler with 170 grams of charas.
“During naka checking at National Highway near Qasim Nagar, teams of police station Bagh-e-Bahu led by SHO Inspector Kirti Sharma rounded up a suspect who turned suspicious on seeing police naka,” police sources said.
They said on search, 170 grams of charas was recovered from the possession of the suspect who was later identified as Mohd Sadeeq son of Mohd Noor ul Islam, resident of Murshidabad, West Bengal (at present living in Gadigarh area of Jammu).
In this connection, a case FIR Number 93/2021 U/S 20 of NDPS Act was registered at police station Bagh-e-Bahu and the accused was arrested. The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO East Sajaad Sarwar.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
