LEH, Apr 15: District Police Leh today arrested a drug peddler and recovered different varieties of contraband from his possession.
“A team of Police Post Housing Colony Leh while conducting random naka checking at Airport Road, Industrial area, Leh, apprehended a suspicious person carrying a black colour backpack,” a police spokesman said.
He said on checking the bag, the police team recovered 335 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus, 52 small packets of brown sugar like substances weighing 7 gm and 10 small packets of Ganja like substances from the possession of the suspicious person identified as Tsewang Namgyal alias Mota son of Tsering Angchuk, resident of Thoksa Skara (Leh).
“In this connection, a case under FIR Number 49/2023 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Leh,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation about links of other persons’ involvement is being ascertained.
