Drug peddler held with Ganja

JAMMU, Mar 23: Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler from Railway Station Jammu and recovered from his possession one kilograms of Ganja.
A GRP spokesperson said that Pawan Kumar of Chatterpur, Madhya Pradesh at present Bagad Mandi, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, was arrested by a team of GRP Jammu led by conerned SHO Inspector Rohit Dev Singh during patrolling/checking, near Loco Shed, Railway Station, Jammu.
He said that a case FIR number 8/2023 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at GRP Jammu and further investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in the illegal trade.
“The arrest and recovery was made under the overall supervision of SSP GRP Jammu and SDPO GRP Jammu,” said the GRP spokesperson.
