Drug peddler held with Ganja

JAMMU, Sept 10: A drug peddler was arrested with 2 kilograms of Ganja by Jammu and Kashmir Police in Narwal area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Post Narwal led by SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari assisted by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Shiv Dev Singh and incharge Police Post Narwal, Lalit Sharma, while on naka duty at Rajiv Nagar area rounded up a suspected person.
During checking of the suspect, he said, 2 kilograms of Ganja was recovered from his possession.
The accused identified as Ravi of Rajiv Nagar has been arrested and booked in case FIR number 271/2023 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort, he said.
Police have started further investigation in the case.
