Drug peddler held with heroin

UDHAMPUR, May 18: The police recovered 10.4 grams of contraband substance heroin (Chitta) from a drug-peddler in Mand area of Tikri today.
Reports said a police party from Tikri led by PSI Abdul Satar noticed the movement of one suspicious person who was on way from Tikri towards Mand on foot and was asked to stop for checking by the police party. On his frisking, 10.40 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from the possession of said person.
Accused has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Mohan Lal, resident of Kambal Danga, in Udhampur. The recovered contraband substance was seized and accused was arrested. In this connection, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Rehambal and further investigation is underway.
