RAJOURI, Sept 29: The police arrested a drug-peddler and recovered 16 grams of heroin from his possession in Rajouri area late last evening.
Official sources said that Police party headed by SHO, Police Station Rajouri and assisted by I/C Police Post City, Danish Maqbool apprehended the accused person namely- Mohd Amir, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Ward No. 2 Rajouri who on seeing the police party ran away but was apprehended with swift action by Police men.
During search 16 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. On this, a case FIR No. 515/2022 U/S 8(a)/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station, Rajouri and investigations started.
