RAJOURI, Dec 26: Continuing the drive against drug abuse launched by District Police, a police team arrested three notorious drug- peddlers and recovered 20 gms of heroin from their possession.
Sources said that during routine checking and frisking at Kallar naka, Rajouri a team of Police Station Rajouri headed by SHO Rajouri Fareed Ahmed under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Rajouri Chanchal Singh stopped a car bearing Registration No. JK11 F 5749 which was coming from Jammu towards Rajouri. It was being driven by Vishal Sharma, son of Ram Kumar of Rajouri while two others namely Sorab Kumar, son of Rajinder Kumar of Muradpur and Sajid Hussain, son of Sarwar Hussain of Balakote in Mendhar were also on board. The police recovered approx 20 grams heroin from them.
On this a case FIR No. 655/2022 U/S 8/21/22/25/27(a)/29/NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigations started to unearth forward and backward linkages.
