JAMMU, July 3: Police claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler here and recovered from his possession 9 grams of heroin.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Post Phallain Mandal led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma assisted by SHO Satwari Inspector Sumeet Sharma and incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal PSI Ajessh Singh Jamwal while on naka duty on Ring Road at Kalyaan Village rounded up a suspect identified as Vijay Kumar of Haripur, Tehsil Mandal, Jammu.
During search of the suspect, he said, 9 grams of heroin was recovered.
The accused has been arrested and booked under the relevant sections of the law and further investigation is on, added the police spokesperson.
