JAMMU, July 15: A drug peddler was arrested with 48 grams of heroin from Gangyal area here today.
A team of Gangyal Police Station led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma assisted by SHO Police Station Gangyal Inspector Ajay Singh Chib while on naka duty rounded up a suspected person identified as Mandeep Singh alias Mantoo of Preet Nagar, Digiana, police said.
During search of the suspect, 48 grams of heroin was recovered, they said.
The accused has been booked in case FIR number 87/2023 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS registered at Police Station Gangyal and further investigation taken up.
The overall operation was supervised by SP South Shaheen Wahid.
