JAMMU, Aug 30: Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested one person with five grams of heroin from Pounichak area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a police team of Police Post Pounichak led by SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor assisted by SHO Domana, Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal and incharge Police Post Pounichak, PSI Nitish Khajuria rounded up a suspect during naka checking.
On search of the suspect, he said, 5 grams of heroin was recovered.
The accused identified as Mohammad Farooq of SOS Gole Gujral was accordingly arrested and booked in case FIR number 267/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Domana, he said.
“Further investigation in the case is underway,” said the police spokesperson.
