JAMMU, Nov 9: A drug peddler was apprehended in Bishnah area here today with 4 grams of heroin and Rs 31000 in cash.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna, assisted by SHO Bishnah, Inspector Abid Hussain, while on naka duty at Kotli Charkan, Bishnah, rounded up a suspect.
During search of the suspect, he said, 4 grams of heroin and Rs 31000 in cash was recovered from the possession of the suspect, identified as Rohit Kumar of Tehsil Blor, District Jalandhar, Punjab,
The accused has been accordingly arrested and booked in case FIR number 246/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up.
