UDHAMPUR, Mar 5: A drug peddler was arrested with 3 grams of heroin-like-substance from this town today.
During patrolling duty at Zero Morh, Gangera, a team of Police Station Udhampur intercepted a suspicious person, said a police spokesperson, adding, that the suspect instead tried to flee on seeing the police party.
“He was chased by the alert police party and overpowered,” he said.
On search of the suspect, the police spokesperson said, three grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered from his possession.
The accused identified as Rocky Seghal of Rehmti, MH, Udhampur has been booked in case FIR number 107/2024 Under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation taken up.
Arrest was made by an Udhampur Police Station Party led by SHO Raghubir Singh.
