JAMMU, Mar 8: A drug peddler was arrested with 7 grams of heroin-like-substance from Narwal area here today.
A police official said a party of Police Post Narwal while on patrolling duty near Rajiv Nagar area apprehended one person who was moving in suspicious conditions.
During questioning and search of the suspect later identified as Biru of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal, 7 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered, he said.
Accordingly, the accused has been arrested and booked in case FIR number 59/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation taken up.
