UDHAMPUR, Dec 9: A drug peddler was arrested with 4.47 grams of heroin-like-substance from Udhampur District today.
Based on credible information, SHO Udhampur Raghubir Singh, raided a park in Housing Colony area in the presence of Executive Magistrate First Class Udhampur, and arrested one Abdul Rashid of Maitra, Ramban, who was engaged in the trade of selling heroin, a police official said.
During search of the accused, he said, 4.47 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered.
Accordingly, the accused was booked in case FIR number 490/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation started.
