RAMBAN, May 26: Jawahar Tunnel police nabbed a drug peddler along with large quantity of intoxicant capsules.
As per police sources, police team from Jawahar Tunnel police post led by SI Mohd Irfan Wani under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar, laid a special naka at Security Check Point Jawahar Tunnel and intercepted a Innova Taxi bearing registration number JK01R-7794.
During checking, police rescued 4080 intoxicant capsules concealed in a bag and arrested the drug peddler, who has been identified as Mohammed Imran, son of Gulam Mohammed Sofi of Peer Bagh Nadur Gund Tehsil and District Budgam.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
