SRINAGAR, Oct 20: Police today arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered psychotropic substances from his possession.
According to authorities, a police party from Police Post Palhallan, led by the Incharge of PP Palhallan and under the supervision of SDPO Pattan, established a checkpoint at Hyderbeigh Baramulla, where they intercepted a vehicle with registration number JK05D-5816.
“During the inspection, 132 capsules of SpasmoProxyvon Plus were recovered from the possession of the vehicle’s driver, identified as Mehraj Din Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad and a resident of Tarzoo, Sopore. He was arrested. The vehicle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized,” the police reported.
Accordingly, the police stated that a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Pattan, and an investigation into the matter has been initiated.
