Drug peddler nabbed with 1700 capsules

KATHUA, Aug 17: Hatli police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1700 capsules of toxic nature and 35 bottles of Corex syrup from his possession.

A police spokesman said two boys boarded off a Punjab Roadways bus at Hatli Morh and started moving towards Kathua town on foot this evening. They were asked to halt by a police naka party. While one of them was held the others ran away. From the possession of Ravi Kumar, son of Ram Lubaya of Ward No. 8 Kathua, the police recovered 1700 capsules and 35 bottles of Corex. He was arrested and a case registered against him. His associate is said to be Mung, resident of Ward No. 11 Kathua. The police was looking for him.
