JAMMU, June 25: Police arrested two drug peddlers along with heroin from Balol Bridge area, falling under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib police station.
As per police sources, based on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Balol Bridge and intercepted two persons riding on a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AU-6936.
During checking, police recovered 2.85 grams heroin and arrested the persons, who have been identified as Ajay Sharma, son of Pokhraj Sharma of Rohi Morh Gadigarh and Akshay Kumar, son of Rajinder Kumar of Ghati Morh Bhaderwah, at present Indira Nagar, Miran Sahib.
A case under FIR Number 104/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at police station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib SI Hilal Azhar and assisted by ASI Daljeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
