JAMMU, Aug 3: Police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested two drug peddlers and recovered large quantity of heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and assisted by PSI Lalit under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal conducted raid in a house at Langerial.
During the raid, police recovered 22 grams heroin, one weighting machine, one syringe and one lighter from the house and arrested two drug peddlers.
The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Ashwani Kumar Choudhary, son of Ashok Choudhary of Langerial and Roshan Lal, son of Bachan Lal of Siddar.
A case under FIR Number 168/17 under Section 8/21/22/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at RS Pura police station against the drug peddlers and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
