JAMMU, Jan 27: Jammu Bus Stand and Gandoh Police arrested two drug peddlers along with heroin and cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by PSI Des Raj under the supervision of SHO Bus Stand Inspector Deepankar Singh, SDPO City North Sharad Kalu and SP City Kulbir Handa laid a naka and apprehended a drug peddler along with 11.73 grams heroin.
The accused was identified as Mohammad Qayoom, son of Mohammad Nazeer of Muradpur District Rajouri.
During preliminary questioning it came to fore that the arrested person was a habitual drug peddler and deals in selling and purchasing of heroin.
A case FIR Number 02/2022 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bus stand Jammu and investigation set into motion.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Gandoh led by SHO Inspector Vikram Singh and assisted by PSI Arhie Bhushan Chib under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh Shahzada Kabir Mattoo and SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom laid a naka near Shaliya bridge and arrested a drug peddler along with 58 grams cannabis.
The arrested person was identified as Srikant, son of Gareeb Dass of Angnool Tehsil Gandoh District Doda.
A case FIR Number 04/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandoh and investigation started.
