JAMMU, Nov 4: Two drug peddlers, who were booked under the PIT NDPS case, were arrested today.
A police spokesperson said that information was received through reliable sources at Police Station RS Pura regarding two notorious drug peddlers-Rakesh Kumar alias Rocky & Deepak Gupta of RS Pura.
On this, he said, a special team of Police Station RS Pura constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna,. This team, led by Inspector Pawan Kumar, reached at the suspected place and arrested the wanted drug peddlers.
The police spokesperson further said that the arrested persons were booked under the PIT NDPS under an order passed by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu for their repeated involvement in drugs peddling cases.
In compliance with the directions of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, the detention warrant was executed today and the accused persons were shifted to Central Jail, Kathua, after completion of all legal formalities.
Pertinently, the arrests were made under the overall supervision of SP Headquarters, Ramnish Gupta.
