KATHUA, May 24: The family members of a drug peddler created a scene and manhandled the police party of Bari Brahmana Police Station when it tried to arrest the woman drug peddler wanted in a narcotics case by the police.
The Bari Brahamna police party was waiting for release of drug peddler woman Jaan Bibi outside the District Jail Kathua who was already arrested by police in connection with a drug peddling case and was released on bail today . When she was bailed out and came out of jail, the police party of Bari Brahmana Police Station (PS) tried to arrest her. But her family members were also present and they attacked the police party and manhandled with the cops to thwart their move to arrest the drug peddler in front of District Jail, Kathua.
They also stopped the passersby resulting in traffic jam for some time.
But the police party later succeeded in taking her into the custody in connection with other drug peddling case.
