Dry ginger, kalaunji weaken on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Nov 30:  Dry ginger and kalaunji prices fell up to Rs 500 per quintal in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Besides, weakening trend in producing regions also put pressure on select spice prices.
Dry ginger and kalaunji prices declined up to Rs 500 to conclude at Rs 20,500-22,000 and Rs 8,300-9,600 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient stocks mainly pulled down dry ginger and kalaunji prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
