DS Evening College signs MoU with Nam Can Tho University

JAMMU, Aug 28: Taking a step towards fostering international educational collaboration, Dyal Singh (DS) Evening College, University of Delhi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nam Can Tho University, Vietnam, here today.
The MOU was signed by Prof. Bhawna Pandey, Principal of Dyal Singh Evening College and Dr. Tran Thi Thu, Vice Rector of Nam Can Tho University.
This event was part of the larger Namaste Vietnam Festival, an initiative that started in 2022 to strengthen ties between India and Vietnam through educational and cultural exchange.
This year’s event saw participation from 28 universities in India and 17 universities in Vietnam.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, highlighted that every year, around 200,000 Vietnamese students seek educational opportunities abroad.
“This collaboration aims to attract more Vietnamese students to the University of Delhi, with Dyal Singh Evening College leading the way,” he said.
Prof. B.K. Kuthiala, Chairman of DS Evening College, commended Principal Prof. Bhawna Pandey for her vision and leadership in expanding the college’s global presence.
The MOU underscores a commitment to voluntary, equal, and fair cooperation in education and culture. Both institutions plan to promote academics and research in Economics, Business, and Information Technology.
The agreement also includes provisions for developing and exchanging educational resources, curriculum, best practices, joint research initiatives, academic publications, and technology transfer.
This MoU is expected to serve as a cornerstone for a deeper educational and cultural partnership between India and Vietnam, with a shared commitment to honesty, integrity, and mutual respect.
