DSE conducts extensive tour of educational institutions of Basohli

JAMMU, June 30: Director School Education, Jammu, Yasha Mudgal accompanied by Chief Education Officer, Kathua and Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) had an extensive tour of educational institutions of Basohli tehsil to assess the infrastructure requirement of the schools of the area.
At Higher Secondary School Basohli, which is being developed as Model School by the Chief Minister, the Director had an exhaustive review of the available infrastructure and the requirement of the school.
Executive Engineer assured the Director that a Detailed Project Report will be submitted within two days to the department. Chief Education Officer briefed the Director on spot about the requirement of physical infrastructure and staff.
The directions were issued for face lifting and putting to judicious use of the adjoining OBC hostel building for boys. The directions were also issued for renovation of DIET Hostel building on spot and its utilization as residential KGBV.
At HSS Mahanpur, Director issued directions for face lifting of the building and establishment of the computer lab. She enjoined upon the staff to maintain cleanliness in the complex and enhance the aesthetic look of the complex by landscaping and maintenance of the premises.
Later, the Director had an interactive meeting with staff at Basohli. She emphasized upon the teachers to work with a sense of devotion and ardency to improve the educational scenario of the area.
Listening patiently to service matters of the staff, Director assured timely redressal of the pending issues of promotion and cadre management. She also took stock of the ongoing exercise of rationalization of schools and teaching staff and impressed upon the teachers that the purpose of this exercise is to optimize the resources available and provide a better learning infrastructure to the students and the teachers.
