JAMMU, May 20: Director, School Education (DSE) Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma today inaugurated a school building for P.S Belicharana constructed by PIU Jammu under JTFRP through World Bank funding.
The Technical Review Mission Team from World Bank officially handed over the newly constructed school building to DSE Jammu.
Chief Education Officer Jammu, Suraj Singh Rathore and ZEO Satwari Rashmi Rathore along with JKTF chairman, Ganesh Khajuria was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion DSE laid special emphasis on child centered curriculum to be followed in letter and spirit by the teaching community and highlighted the importance of vocationalisation and contextualization of education.
He assured full support and cooperation from the Directorate while helping the students to receive the best possible education along with suitable environment and adequate opportunities to push themselves towards success in life.
While interacting with the teachers, he laid stress on increasing enrollment in government schools and encouraged the teachers to provide quality education to the students.
The programme was also attended by the parents and VEC members.
The Committee members requested DSE to look into the probability of up-gradation of the school.
