DODA, May 28: Director School Education Jammu, Ashok Kumar Sharma conducted a review meeting of Education Sector, here today.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director School Education Doda- Kishtwar-Ramban, Dharinder Sharma, Chief Education Officer Doda Parkash Lal Thapa, Principal DIET Doda Purshotam Gouria, Principal of all the Higher Secondary Schools and Zonal Education Officers of District Doda.
During the meeting, Director School Education stressed upon sharing of resources at complex and cluster level for the benefit of students. The Director directed the DDOs to ensure the registration of all the employees on JK attendance App and regularly monitor the punctuality and regularity of teachers on daily basis.
The Director further asked the DDOs to draw the salary of teachers after ascertaining their attendance on JK SED App and the shadow areas where there is network issue, the attendance of teachers be monitored through offline Biometric apparatus. The salary of the teachers in these areas should be drawn after getting the attendance of the staff authenticated from Village Education Committees, he added.
The Director also directed the Chief Education Officer Doda to complete the exercise of teacher rationalization immediately after lifting of Modal Code of Conduct and the schools in the remote areas where there is large enrollment of children be provided teaching staff on priority.
The Director informed that the process of re engagement of CRC shall be started immediately after the Modal Code of Conduct is lifted. In the meeting, concern was raised on the decrease of girl child enrollment on their transition from elementary to secondary/senior secondary classes and Director School Education stressed upon the field officers to track these children through UNIQUE ID or PEN Number and ensure their retention in the school through proper counselling and motivation.
It was further directed to the field officers that they will prioritize the new construction and renovation of school building after the enrollment of school in consideration.
The cluster heads were directed to regularly monitor the function of schools in their cluster and they will also teach a class for at least half an hour once they visit the school for monitoring to motivate the students and teachers.
